Gotta Get to Vancouver

This is me. It's apparent I need to rethink my life a little. What's wrong with my life? Well for starters, I'm an actor. Which means life is hard. Second, I have a diploma in Media and Applied Communications. "What's wrong with that?" you ask. Basically I have a piece of paper hanging on my wall and a huge debt hanging over my head. Oh, and I work manual labour because that's why you go and get a college education right?

Now, I have nothing against manual labor (I actually prefer those types of jobs) but first and foremost, I am an actor. Turns out, a pretty damn good one too. This is not ego. This is 15 years of experience in stage, screen and voice over acting. Now the time has come to move to a place where I can put it all to good use.

I'm looking to move to the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, from the beautiful capital of Victoria. I love Victoria and leaving will be hard, but watching colleagues of mine moving ahead in their careers while I stagnate is starting to affect my mental health.

Vancouver holds more possibilites for both the lines of work I'm looking to get into. I have the passion, professionalism, and work ethic; all I need is to be in a place where the opportunites exist. This funding will get me moved, and get me a place to live with time to look for a job. I've done everything I can here, and the sooner I can move on the better.
