If adoption is close to your heart or helping homeless youth or immigrants, then I hope you will consider helping this young man of 19. His name is Chutiman and he is very special to me! I have know him since he was 11 and he was just a photo of a boy living in an orphanage in Thailand who needed a family. My adoption agency at the time where I worked finally found him a family (not easy when most want babies), but unfortunately for reasons out of his control, the family decided they couldn’t parent him and dissolved the adoption. Over the next eight years he lived in at least six different states with more than 10 different people, often homeless. But finally and quite miraculously, with lots of help from many supportive people, he graduated from high school last year, and he is ready to launch into adulting! We’re helping him move into his own place with roommates, find a job, and live independently—he is ready. I believe he came into my life for a reason, and he is like family to me. He is a good hearted person, hard working, respectful, and one of the most resilient people I have ever known. Like all young people he needs help from caring adults to reach his dreams. He hopes to one day help kids like him who feel lost, alone, and hopeless. Thank you for your help!
