Mya is a traveling rig dog. If you've met her, you know she protects her bone with her life. She sends her apologies to all the hands she's bitten.

Right now she is in desperate need of a blood transfusion and is undergoing emergency surgery. She appreciates your support, and if you could throw her a bone to help her make it through this, we both appreciate this.

If you know me you know I don’t go anywhere without Mya. Mya has been coast to coast and has brightened many peoples day with her unique personality.

Monday Mya was making her normal rounds attacking traffic cones and hustling people for a treat. She thought she saw something move and being the job site guard dog she is took off after it. Mya collapsed during her effort to protect us from something that none of us could see. After this instance everything started to go downhill for Mya at a rapid pace. She was no longer protecting her snacks she had stashed around the job. She wasn’t coming out to say hello or get away from my truck. Mya just laid there. The following day Mya took a turn for the worse she started shaking, vomiting and had diarrhea. She got on some antibiotics hoping for a speedy recovery altho this time it wasn’t helping her symptoms just got worse. She could barely stand if you touched her she would just fall over so I decided to take her to an emergency vet. Thank god I did because the news we received was life changing. Mya needed a blood transfusion ASAP not next week not in a few days RIGHT NOW. I was in shock when the vet hit me with the $955 bill for just the diagnostics! But this was chump change compared to what was coming next, the blood transfusion is an unsure amount starting around $5,000, this isn’t counting the treatment she is going to require after the transfusion to help whatever caused her to need the transfusion in the first place. I was faced with the one of hardest decision in my life, do I let my dog go over an insane amount of money not guaranteed that she’s going to be better? Do I put her down? What is her quality of life after this procedure? What’s going to happen to my best friend, companion and protector? So the clear decision was made to proceed with the treatment because I can’t put a price on her life it’s whatever it takes. I was talking with the lady collecting my down payment and I asked her how do people afford to do this? She said she had no idea how she could pay for something like this and that she would start a go fund me.

So here I am… I’m not asking for you to pay the whole amount or donate your last $5. Any amount is very much appreciated and will be put directly towards the expenses of Mya’s recovery.

For those of you that know me you know if you called me and needed to borrow a couple bucks you got it. If your child had a fundraiser I supported them. If you were out of work I’d help you find a job. If you asked me to help you chances are I was there.

Im kindly asking to help chip in to save my dog. The bill is astronomical. Mya deserves a chance to live she puts smiles on people faces all over the country everyday so please help me help her. Anything and everything is appreciated!

These funds will be used to continue the blood transfusions, medications and tests to monitor her blood for changing conditions.
