Smooth Sailing: Tips Cancer Journey

Hi Everyone! Those who haven’t heard, but our dear Tip has been dealt the cards we all fear and is taking charge in the most positive and admirable spirit. A little over a month ago, Tip was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. This is a very aggressive cancer that is going to be treated in a very aggressive manner with intensive Chemotherapy and Radiation for a grueling 7 weeks straight. Tip recently had a port put in and just started the continuous Chemo treatment. As you all know Tip is self employed and this sudden life changing situation will be financially straining for him and his wife Jeannie. I’m trying to rally the Tip Gilbert army and ask if you can financially contribute in any way to make this process successful and the least stress possible by eliminating the financial stress factor which is a huge part. Everyone who knows tip knows that he’s the most selfless man youve met, always helpful and happy! He’s done a lot for our community including the Maile Alert to protect our children so it’s time we return the favor and help him tackle this and get him back in his sailboat navigating the waters of Kaneohe bay which is his favorite thing to do!
