Hi, my name is Anna, and I’m a full-time student and the proud cat parent of Smoosh — my sweet, cuddly, and endlessly curious 13-year-old cat. She’s been by my side through many of my major life changes, offering comfort and love in the quietest, gentlest ways.

About a month ago, I took Smoosh to the vet and learned that she needs dental surgery. At first, I tried gentle home remedies and soft foods, hoping to avoid the stress and risks that can come with surgery for older cats. Unfortunately, her condition has worsened — it’s now affecting her ability to eat, drink, and stay comfortable day to day.

The vet estimates that she might need 3 teeth removed, surgery, plus a cleaning and follow-up care will cost around $3000. I’m exploring low-income veterinary options and doing everything I can, but as a student, I can’t afford this expense alone. That’s why I’ve created this fundraiser — to help Smoosh get the care she needs to eat, heal, and enjoy her golden years pain-free.
