Help with medical and living expenses

Day 1 of rehab

Hi, my name is Donnie Velie and as hard as it is to do, I am reaching out to ask for help. As many of you know, my son Dylan was is a horrific motorcycle accident on July 21st, 2023. Dylan was in the ICU in Fletcher Allen, Vermont for 4 days and in a coma for 3 of those days. He was then moved to his own room to recover where he has been for the last 17 days. He has now been moved to a rehab facility currently still in Vermont. The doctor has given us an estimated 3 months stay as Dylan has a severe traumatic brain injury. I have left my home and career in Florida to be with him and to provide 24hr care. As you know, this will be a long road and a long recovery. With the cost of gas, hotels, ferry passes and being unable to work, I am asking for any help that you can offer. I will be Dylan’s main caregiver throughout this process.
