Smitty’s Life & Legacy

One month ago today, we lost our brother Wayne ‘Smitty’ Smith  to Lung Cancer-25 years after we lost our father to the same.  He had just turned 50yo. My father was 52. Wayne’s adoring partner in crime, wife Melissa Hewlitt Smith, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in October of 2017 and is still undergoing treatment.  Wayne’s health declined this Summer as the cancer rapidly spread (unbeknownst to anyone) to the second lung and his lymph nodes.  He had restarted chemotherapy only 2.5 weeks before his passing. To use the word unexpected is a gross understatement.  The family was not prepared emotionally or financially for this great loss.  Donations will help defray the mounting medical bills and end of life costs.
