Smith & Wardle Charity Walk for Stand-By-Me

Do you want to join us in making a difference? This year, our chosen charity is Stand-by-me Bereavement Support Service for Children.

On Friday the 23rd of May 2025, Jon, Helena, Donna, Katharine, Christian, Simon, Zahaan, Sam, Ronnie, Jo and Rose will be walking the Hitchin Hoop, a 12 mile (19.3km) route around Hitchin town centre and surrounding countryside to raise money for this amazing charity.

Stand‑by‑me offers support when it’s needed the most and one of our staff members has personally seen the positive impact that their services have had on friends and their children.

Even if the death is expected it can be difficult to know how to best help the children and young people in our care. Stand‑by‑me offers information, advice and support to help children, young people and their families living in North Hertfordshire & Stevenage understand and manage their grief.
