Supporting the Smith and Carpenter Families
Hi, we are Hannah Fair (Hannah Cunnane), sister-in-law to Madeline Smith, and Jordan Gaffney, a close friend of Brian and Mallory Carpenter. We are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the surviving members of the Smith and Carpenter families- Madeline, Mallory, and Dalton.
On the morning of July 4th, a devastating flash flood struck the Hill Country where the families were staying together at Casa Bonita in Hunt, Texas. Among those caught in the tragedy were Madeline Smith, the Carpenter family- Brian, Mallory, Dalton, and Blake- as well as Pam and Mike Smith, parents to Madeline and Mallory.
Madeline, Mallory, and Dalton are the only known survivors. They have endured unimaginable loss and physical trauma, having already undergone five surgeries combined, with more to come. In addition to their injuries, they’ve lost their vehicles, personal belongings, and the stability of their previous lives.
At this time, the Texas Rangers continue their search and investigation regarding the missing members of the Smith and Carpenter families.
Funds raised will be used to support the survivors' ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and immediate needs. Any additional funds will go toward helping Madeline, Mallory, and Dalton begin the long and difficult journey of rebuilding their lives.
We are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support that have poured in from the Hill Country community and beyond. Your kindness means more than words can express.
Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.
