In Remembrance Of Matthew Perez

There’s no easy way to say this, for most of you that know me, I’m Ashley, Matthew Perez aka Smileys little sister.. and I’m in town for the worst reasons i can ever imagine.. a nightmare that my family can not wake up from.. Saturday 26th of May.. around 2am my brothers life was lost to a terrible disease and an epidemic that had taken over his life.. my brother Matt was known for his infectious smile and laugh.. for never being serious and always bring sunshine to the room.. for being a pain in the ass but being so charming that you can’t stay mad at him.. he was a light to so many people.. he is a light to us still.. and i know he would want us to be using his life to save another.. so what I’m putting together is an remembrance and an awareness of how serious drugs and mental issues can take over your life, I want to do what he did for so many others and make an impact.. he wasn’t just suffering with drugs, he was suffering with so much more.. not many people realize that.. but unfortunately he didn’t have the proper support and constant attention he needed.. i need to get out to everyone ITS NEVER TOO LATE.. to ask, to support, to lend an ear, to say i love you, to be a shoulder to cry on, to most importantly TRY !! I’m making In remembrance bracelets and overdose awareness bracelets that I will be giving out to all of those who donate and want one.. Any type of donations for his funeral expenses, cemetery and burial accommodation, traveling costs for family, and for a non profit organization dedicated to those who are suffering with recovery called Gateway in Jax, Fl. My family and I are currently trying to find ways to give back to our community, trying to find a walk, charity fund, or organization that would like to spread the word in hopes that we can save one person or any person that is suffering like Matt was.
