Smiles by Surprise
Smiles by Surprise was created by three pals who want to pay it forward. We have set a goal to complete the Flying Pig half marthoon to donate our proceeds back into the community for those in need, specifically families who are effected by illness or serious injury.
The idea for Smiles by Surprise came about when I personally saw random acts of kindness being passed forward to my mother who is currently battling breast cancer. It amazed us that small acts of kindness could brighten someones day in such a big way.
Our goal is to raise money in order to purchase gift cards to pass out to random families in need. We have seen how small tokens of gift cards ( gas, grocery, restaurant) can alleviate some of the daily burdens familes might face.
We are hoping to raise $5000 by May 1st, 2016. It is important to us because " Small things done with great love will change the world".
