My story:
“My name is Joshua Emmanuel, I was born at 25 weeks and spent the first 6 months of my life in the incubator at the intensive care unit, surviving with cerebral palsy, four limb involvement and global development delay and significant learning difficulties.
I try to do what other kids of my age can do but at my own slow pace. “I was told I may never walk but now I have steps and also use a wheel chair, I was told I may never talk but now I have a voice, a word at a time”.
I don’t see my disability as a disablement, I see it as a different ability to fulfil my potential.
I would like my Joshy Boy Legacy to empower other children like me with legal advisory services, suitable accommodation and accessible housing, access to food and groceries, and respite for their parents(carers).
Our Mission
Our mission is clear: to empower disabled individuals and their families facing daily challenges, amplify their voices, and foster genuine community inclusion.
We are committed to raising awareness of the urgent lack of accessible housing in both the private and social sectors, while also addressing wider social determinants of health such as housing inequality, isolation, and limited access to welfare support.
Through our work, from advocacy and legal advice to parent workshops, mentoring, and community outreach, we strive to create a world where every family, regardless of ability or background, can live with dignity, inclusion, and opportunity.
How to Get Involved :
Your support helps us keep Joshy Boy Legacy running and continue offering vital services to families in need.
At the moment, we don’t have any funding to cover our operational costs things like keeping our advice lines open, providing free legal guidance, and coordinating essential support for families.
Your giving also helps us provide seasonal groceries, cleaning assistance, and other practical help for families caring for children with disabilities.
Please share our page with your friends and family, or volunteer your time to make a real impact.
Every contribution counts! Together, we can make a big difference and help Joshy Boy Legacy turn limited people limitless. ✨
