The 2014 teddy bear fundraiser was amazing, humbling and full of hope, allowing our family to share our story and hear about other families personal experiences. We would like to do it again this year and make this event a holiday tradition for us and for you. As some of you know, our lives were forever changed in 2012….
We are forever grateful to the WakeMed and Duke nurses and doctors who with God's guidance helped our son grow from a small 1lb14oz micro-preemie to the busy, happy, thriving toddler that he is today! Born at only 27 weeks, baby Joey has been a fighter and an inspiration to everyone he meets. We feel truly blessed and we know he IS a miracle. In honor of all the incredible individuals who took care of him during his time of need, we would like to raise funds for 100 teddy bears to be delivered to WakeMed and Duke hospitals pediatric patients on December 25th. We experienced so much help while Joey spent months in the hospitals, so we know how much this support will mean to the kids and their families. Please help us put smiles on some of the most precious faces in their time of need and please please give them a teddy bear they can hug.
