SMC Half Marathon - Raising Money for Canteen
On the 19th of January 2025, I will be undertaking the SMC - Half Marathon. The event will take place at Long Street Park, Smithfield, NSW.
Inspired by my older brother Sam, and his close-knit group of mates who have undertaken an array of challenges such as the Sydney Half Marathon and Husky Tri Distance Classic in order to raise awareness and funding for the charity Canteen.
Canteen is an amazing charity dedicated to providing tailored support for young people aged 12 to 25 who are impacted by cancer.
I am increasingly proud and overwhelmingly inspired by the aforementioned group of boys, who became involved with the charity due to one of their close friends being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. I have seen and heard firsthand how valuable canteens work is, and thus am proud to be raising money for them.
