Support Nick's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Julian, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my best friend, Nick, who’s 20 years old and going through one of the hardest times of his life.
Nick’s one of the hardest-working people I know. He just finished his 4th semester of college and had big plans to work this summer and stay on track with school — but everything changed after a traumatic dirtbike accident. This wasn’t from doing anything reckless — it was a freak accident that left him with multiple broken bones, internal bleeding, and lots of permanent metal hardware in his body.
He was rushed into critical care and required emergency surgery. Nick broke his pelvis front to back, his kneecap, toes, and tore several ligaments in his leg. He can’t put any weight on his legs for at least 10 weeks and still faces multiple surgeries ahead.
After surgery, he’ll be in rehab for several months, learning to walk again and rebuild his strength — all while hoping to be well enough to return for his next semester of college.
Even after rehab, Nick will be on crutches for a long time. Walking around campus and getting to class will be a major challenge. He also lost the ability to play basketball, something he’s been passionate about for years, and all the progress he worked so hard for in the gym.
This recovery has been unbelievably tough — physically, emotionally, and financially. Nick hasn’t been able to work, and the medical costs, combined with college expenses, have put a serious strain on him and his family.
If you’re able to help with a donation, no matter how small, it would mean the world. And if not, simply sharing this can make a huge difference. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for showing support.
