Your donation helps someone like Priya, a female student from India. Priya is a ferocious learner -in fact she is brilliant. But due to fate, and despite her community's noble efforts, she will not get the educational resources she needs to completely develop her gifted mind. Priya wants to be a childrens’ doctor, but though she is more than capable of becoming one of the best childrens' doctors, due to limited educational resources, the odds of Priya getting the education her gifted mind deserves are less than optimal. Priya represents many of the individual lives you will begin to change because you gave.
How does your donation help?
There is no end to people who could radically change their lives with a little more education, but the problem is education is so expensive. But, the beauty of what our engineers have created, is that they basically created an educational giving tree. We pay for the seed to be planted once, and then the tree never stops giving without needing additional money from students ever again. Basically, our engineers build a virtual reality software system that costs us once to make it (the seed), then after it is built, we can give it out to the whole world for free, and AS MANY TIMES AS WE WANT. How? Because once the software is paid for the software doesn't cost us anything to copy and share (the giving tree).
So your donation pays engineers to build the seeds, or the virtual reality educational modules that we can then stream anywhere in the world at anytime without an educational cost to students. Pretty simple? We think so too.
Last year, with the help of local collaborators, we built three surgical modules for around $50,000 -which can now be shared to any of the 7 billion people on the earth without us charging any of them a penny to download. This year, because we are getting faster at building modules, our team and our local collaborators have a goal to see 8 modules built for the the same amount of money. We shared Priya's reality with you, and this year Priya experienced surgical training in our virtual reality system at no cost to her. Imagine the amount of people that will receive surgical training with the additional 8 modules we build together. This is how your donation helps people like Priya all over our world! Let's do this.
