Sarratt Primary Smartboard Fundraiser
“We need technology in every classroom and in every student's and teacher's hand because it is the pen and paper of our time. It is the lens through which we experience much of our world." - David Warlick
At Sarratt school, we want our children to be at the forefront of digital education. We need to equip them with the skills and knowledge to become responsible digital citizens, ready for life the 21st century. Smartboards are an essential and integral part of our classroom learning at Sarratt. The smartboards are linked with the chromebooks and make learning exciting, interactive and engaging.
Right now we need your help. Our current smartboards are over 7 years old and are failing.
School and the Sarratt Parents' Association (SPA) have so far allocated over £7,000 of their budget towards new boards. Each smartboard costs £2162.50 including installation. In addition to this we need to upgrade the network infrastructure to support them.
We are aiming to raise £10,000 through a variety of fund raising events and your donations. It would be fantastic if we could raise this money by the first of September so that we can purchase the boards ready for the start of the new academic year.
All contributions are very much appreciated.
