My Voiceover Demo!!!
Donation protected
Hello there, Friends of The Face. I hope you had a Happy Holiday, and a Fantabulous New Year's! To those who may not know me, My name is Stephanie Marrow. Ever since I was a wee little girl, I have always had 'the gift of gab.' Now, don't get me wrong, many did, but I was a bit... different. My voice was quite unique compared to other kids. For example in elementary school I was the one who would whisper in class and somehow get called out by name . It was like they always knew it was me (probably because I sounded like a 30 year old). It took me awhile to be proud of my voice, but I finally was.
It was right around that time that I met a Fairy God-like man at my magic toy demo at Toys 'R Us Times Square. He was a Manager in LA, and he told me I should get into voiceover. He gave me the information of an awesome voiceover coach (and proceeded to buy my magic kit for his son. Score!) After months of contemplating and doubting myself, I finally decided to go for it and take some classes. I loved it immediately, but realized how pricey it would be to get my voice demo done. There were many easy and cheap options, but for once I wanted to do it the right way, no shortcuts, or excuses.
Now, almost two years after my initial classes, praise and encouragement from friends in the industry and family alike, dozens of jobs, and a huge move physically and mentally, I'm ready to take on this new chapter of my life. I have been saving in countless ways. Any tips and other extra income, recycled every bottle I can find (I'm starting to resemble the little Asian women on the subway with the two massive bags and one stick across their shoulders.) and picked up every form of legal tender in the United States that exists off the ground. (I'm talking pennies all the way to Sacajewea coins..)
I've saved quite a bit, but I need your help for the rest. If you can find it in your heart, or wallet, change purse, money clip, or even under your mattress to donate any thing at all, I would be eternally grateful. This is something I have been excited to do since I realized it was a career, and I want to finally turn this dream into a reality!
With this donation I will be able to recieve a brush-up lesson before I go into the recording booth, my actual demo (Professional Quality, radio/commercial grade), the marketing session where I learn how to properly 'sell' my sound, and the equipment to audition and create proper sounding recordings!
If you know me at all, you know how much this could mean for, and to me. Its a new year, and what better way to ring in 2016, then with both feet in the right direction. I'm so ready for what this could bring!
Check out the reward levels below (they're goofy to say the least.) Thank you so much for your help. I appreciate every last one of you.
