Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a bit about my mom, who lives in a small town in Northern Iowa. It's a quaint place that we've always joked has a population of just 250 – including all the furry friends like cats, dogs, mice, and even rats! Right now, though, the cat population has truly taken over, with my mom currently caring for 18 kittens (the highest number we've seen) along with their mothers, one of whom is still expecting, and a few toms.

For years, I’ve been able to support this little community by providing food and we are both ensuring they have safe, comfortable places to sleep and raise their families. However, this year has become overwhelming with the rapid growth of the cat population. We urgently need to get these cats spayed and neutered, but there are no local programs available due to a lack of funding.

While I am actively searching for loving homes for the weaned kittens, I’m facing the challenge of affording the spaying and neutering for at least 15 adult cats, all while continuing to provide for them. It’s a difficult situation, and I’m reaching out for help to manage this growing crisis.

Any support you can offer would mean the world to us. Once we address the immediate need for spaying and neutering, any remaining funds will go towards helping others in similar situations who also cannot afford these vital services.
