Frankie’s Medical Battle

Hello everyone,

My name is Grace, and I am asking for help with medical bills for my beloved cat Frankie. She has been my best, snuggliest companion for the last five years and we moved to Chicago together. I would simply do anything for her.

Over the past couple of months my sweet Frankie has been having a back and forth medical issues that all started presenting as a sinus infection, which has led to other issues causing her to not have an appetite/vomit. If you’ve ever met Frankie, you know she has never refused a meal (a crumb). Over the course of the last six weeks, I have taken her to the vet four times and spent over $550 while also being in the worst financial situation of my life.

The vet is still unsure as to what exactly is causing the issue for Frankie, as she does have FIV and a history of tooth issues. Currently, he believes she needs another tooth extraction which could cost anywhere between $800-1200, but they would need to perform diagnostics first. For the past few weeks, we have been managing symptoms on anti-nausea medication and an appetite stimulant in the hopes that we could bide some time as I just got a new job that will soon put me in a better financial situation. Unfortunately it seems that this combination is no longer working for her in the way it was, so I am asking for help so I can take her in for further diagnostics and potentially surgery as soon as possible.

Frankie is the best, sweetest, cuddliest, friendliest cat in the entire world. It would mean the absolute world to me if you were able to help us out in our time of need. I am simply not equipped for any more loss, especially one I could potentially prevent.
