SMALL NON-PROFIT RESCUE & COMMUNITY PROJECT NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Donation protected
Hi I’m Jayden, the owner and director of Silver Hoof Horsemanship CIC. We are a small, self funded registered non-profit equine rescue centre. We not only rescue horses but run a community project with the purpose of making horses accessible to anybody who may not otherwise have the opportunity; our aim is to break down some of the barriers that people might face in life, whatever their background.
Recently, our towing vehicle has broken down catastrophically and requires either a whole new engine or for the engine to be refurbished. This vehicle was carefully selected to meet the specifications required to safely (and economically!) tow a horse trailer. This vehicle is essential to the running of our organisation and welfare of our horses for many reasons, including the following:
•Getting water to the horses as one of our fields does not have running water
•Transporting the horses to essential medical appointments and the ability to take a horse to the vet hospital in a life threatening emergency
•Collecting hay from our storage (our onsite stock is running quite low!)
•Collecting feed for the horses
•Collecting our horse who is due back from his loan home
•Being able to to transport our horses between our grazing fields
•We are also hoping to offer the opportunity for people who may not otherwise get the chance to go on some outings and to shows with the ponies over summer
The cost of this essential repair is going to be astronomical and this is why we need your help! We won’t have an exact figure until the work is being done but it will be in the thousands. No amount is too small, anything you can spare and every share will be hugely appreciated and gratefully received. In the unlikely event that the donations exceed the repair bill, any excess will be used to benefit our rescue horses and the local community, via our access to horses project!
