Help Explorers' Emporium Survive Pandemic

A brief history about how Explorers' Emporium came to be:

Explorers’ Emporium is a small family business who, like so many small businesses, is struggling to make ends meet due to the restrictions place on businesses to keep people safe during the pandemic. We fully support those safe guards and want everyone to stay safe but the latest challenge is a cancellation of an event that has a high financial impact on our store. The cancellation of the February/March 2021 AZ Renaissance, not only impacts the performers and onsite merchants, but unique stores such as our own that supply costumes, LARPing (Live Action Role-Playing) supplies and other entertainment resources for participants of the faire. This event is as important to us as the Christmas shopping season is to many other mainstream merchants. So, we are asking for your help.

Our family and store are unique. We have dedicated our lives to supporting kids and families in the communities. We started in 1995 with an educational resource for kids called Castle Earth’s Children’s Museum. It was a facility that taught children both individually and on field trips from local schools, how to interact with our environment through scientific endeavors and hands on animal interactions. Unfortunately, we could not get the funding needed to keep the museum. We didn’t give up, so after years of supporting a mobile museum, science fairs and school events we opened Explorers’ Emporium. Explorers’ is a family friendly place where, prior to the pandemic, families could gather, learn new games or enjoy their favorites. Pick up a take home science activity or craft project or purchase the items they need for exploring their imagination through LARPing and interactive gaming. We have high hopes to get back to those activities just as soon as we can, but we are hoping our community can help us while we navigate this pandemic. We are hoping to raise $40,000 to help cover our operating expenses for the festival season. We know many are facing challenges, so we do not ask this lightly. Thank you so much for any support you can provide!
