Deren Mavi is only two months old, yet she is suffering from SMA, a lethal disease that will prevent her from walking or moving. We are trying to reach ZOLGENSMA medication for her treatment. ZOLGENSMA, which is the most effective way to fight this disease, costs 2,000,000 pounds, and unfortunately, it is not covered by the Turkish state's insurance system.
We will use all the money collected through our gofundme campaign to pay for the ZOLGENSMA treatment for Deren Mavi. Once we reach our goal of 2,000,000 pounds, all of the funds will be transferred to the hospital (Boston Children's Hospital) account of Deren Mavi.
Please help Deren Mavi to defeat this disease.
Note: Gofundme campaign for Deren is managed by Dr. Aykut Ozturk. Aykut Ozturk, a researcher at the University of Glasgow, is a close friend of Deren's father, Ugur Karaavci. Since gofundme does not operate in Turkey, Aykut Ozturk, living in the United Kingdom, is entrusted by the family with the task of running this campaign.
