Support for Sandra

Hello, I’m Michelle (Herron) Levy and I’m fundraising for Sandra (Maser) Geschwentner. Sandra has been my friend since we met in kindergarten at Park Elementary School in Great Bend, Kansas in 1975.

In June, doctors found a mass in Sandra’s brain. She had surgery to remove the tumor and was diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma. Her doctor has referred her to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas to see a neuro-specialist for the best treatment plan.

Sandra is a veteran who served our country during the Gulf War where she met her husband, Brent, who currently works at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita. She’s the proud mom of two kids, including one who also is serving our country, and her dog babies. Sandra is a kindergarten teacher. She is hoping to get started with her treatment and feel well enough to meet her new kindergarten kids this fall.

Financial donations will go toward travel and medical expenses. Any donation is appreciated so that the family has less worries about finances during this difficult time. Sandra’s strong faith is helping her to get through this and she would also appreciate your prayers.

Why is this so important to me? I’m a childhood cancer survivor. My cancer experience happened way before the Internet and GoFundMe, so my picture was on a coffee can for donations that sat by the cash register at the Great Bend Pizza Hut. My community helped me and my family in many ways and now I want to do the same for my lifelong friend. Please help me to support Sandra and her family.
