Deonte "Slzzp" Walker (12-1, 11KO), just won the UBO Continental Title! In late August, he is fighting in South America next and needs your help on his quest to becoming a world champion!

SIOUX FALLS, SD – In his first championship fight, and against his best opponent to date, Deonte “Slzzp” Walker (11-1) triumphed emphatically, stopping Rudy Montenegro (7-1-1) in the 7th round while winning the vacant, UBO Continental (North America) Welterweight title on Friday night, July 19th.

Born in Yankton, South Dakota and growing up in nearby Sioux City, 23-year-old Walker made boxing history in South Dakota when he took on former American Boxing Federation (ABF) champion Rudy Montenegro, who had never been stopped in his pro career. The event took place in front of a sold-out crowd at the Laurel Ridge Barn in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This makes 10 straight wins by KO for Deonte who is one of the biggest punchers in the sport and is now 12-1.

Never scared to fight or take on bigger challenges, and just like the old school greats that came before him, Deonte and his team are trying to keep as busy as possible (he is one of the most active fighters on the planet); but that is a very difficult, expensive endeavor that requires us to fight overseas again.

In late August, Deonte travels with his team out of the country to fight several times in Colombia. These fights must happen in hopes to get the UBO International Title sanctioned for November 2nd, when Deonte will then return to fight in front of his home fans in Sioux City. His scheduled, upcoming, opponent Jessie Cris Rosales (23-6-1), fought Shakur Stevenson for the IBF Inter-Continental and the WBC Continental Americas Titles in 2019 but came up short. One of his most notable wins came against Ibrahim Balla (17-2) winning the WBA Oceana Title. So that should be a great fight!
