We are five aerospace engineers on a senior design team at SLU participating in the ESRA Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition. We are building our rocket from the ground up including our own motor, fins, body, nose cone, and electronics. In collaboration with the electric engineering department, we have a team of three fellow students producing a payload for our rocket.
What is our rocket going to look like and do?
The rocket will stand 10 ft tall with a diameter of 6 inches
The rocket will be launched to 19,000 feet and reach speeds of Mach 1.3
The payload will be powered on the flight up in order to power a camera on descent and a speaker upon landing.
Check out our donation levels
The highest donor by May 1st will have naming rights of the rocket
Rocket space is limited and will run out. Space will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
Please help us make this rocket a reality as we have spent the past semester conceptually designing the rocket.
