SlugGate: Help Ian Cook Fight Government Corruption In Court

In 2019 Ian Cook’s business, I Cook Foods, was unlawfully closed by the State Government of Victoria.

I Cook Foods was in direct competition with a government-controlled business, Community Chef, which was going broke.

Community Chef wanted Ian’s customers.

41 workers lost their jobs and Ian and his family lost everything they had ever worked for.

To falsely smear Ian further, the City of Greater Dandenong laid 96 false charges against Ian and his business based on planted evidence (including a slug that was planted in his factory by a council inspector.)

When the case came to court, Council realised Ian would fight every single charge, and the faked evidence would be exposed.

This would mean that Council staff would be questioned, under oath, about allegations of manufacturing evidence in order to bring false charges.

By the end of the first day of the trial, Council dropped all 96 charges.

Now, Ian Cook is suing Council, and the State Government.

Ian is doing this to expose the actions Council and the State Government committed to shut down I Cook Foods.

Ian has lost everything, but he will never give up.
