Help get Slow Creatures into the studio

Hello there, you gorgeous bunch!
We’re Slow Creatures, a folk trio from the mystical lands of East Clare. For the past six months, we’ve been hiding out in the wilds (with plenty of tea and biscuits, naturally), crafting new songs that blend traditional Irish folk with a dash of whatever takes our fancy on the day. So far, the reaction to our live shows has been pure magic. The only thing left now is to capture it all on a record.
We’ve had the pleasure of playing some unreal venues, from the Sea Church in Ballycotton (we *might* have had a few pints after), to Ballydehob Jazz Fest, a tribute to the legend Mick Moloney, and even Connolly’s of Leap, where we somehow ended up opening for Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip (What a legend)
The energy we’ve felt from you lot has been incredible, and now we’re buzzing to get into the studio and lay these tracks down properly. But here’s the rub—turns out, recording music doesn’t come cheap. Who knew? We’ve already emptied our pockets on gear for gigging, so now we need a little help to get the rest of the job done.
That’s why we’re launching this GoFundMe to raise **€3000**. Here’s what your hard-earned cash will go towards:
- Studio time
- Production and mixing (so it sounds less like we’re recording in a shed)
- Mastering (to make it all shiny and proper)
- Artwork and physical production
We’re hoping this recording captures the heart and soul of our music—and with your help, we’ll share it with you and the wider world. Whether you can throw a few quid our way or just spread the word far and wide, we’ll be eternally grateful.
So, if you fancy helping out three sound lads from Clare on their musical quest, we’ll love you forever (and maybe write a song about it too). We can’t wait to share these tunes with you!
Sláinte agus grá,
