Jared & Thomas Slo-Pitch Team BC Challenge Cup 2026
Donation protected
The USSSA Challenge Cup is an annual slow-pitch softball tournament held in Viera, Florida, during January and February, that serves as a "Slowpitch Olympics" where state and national teams, comprising top players from various skill divisions, compete for pride and glory. The event includes Men's, Women's, and Mixed (Co-Ed) divisions, as well as International and Senior programs, providing a platform for athletes from different backgrounds to showcase their skills at a professional venue.
Jared Power and Thomas Vincent from Peachland BC have been chosen to represent BC. These donations will help with entry fees, uniforms, food, and travel costs.
Jared began playing Peachland baseball in 1991 at the age of 5. Since then, he's had opportunities to play in the states for semi-professional baseball leagues as well as travelling to Japan for baseball tryouts. Joining the slo-pitch leagues in BC has been a great way to continue the sport for Jared where he's participated in various league championships and tournaments throughout the Okanagan.
Thomas started his baseball in White Rock BC at 5 years old. He played many sports throughout his youth including football and soccer. At age 13, he had to choose 1 sport to take seriously because multiple sports were too expensive. Thomas chose baseball and hasn't looked back since. He attended Thompson Rivers University for his freshman year then transferred to Douglas College to play baseball. His career took a turn with the unfortunate passing of his dad. Thomas decided to moved to Peachland to support his mom during the difficult time. Peachland and the Okanagan is where he ended up falling in love with slo-pitch.
