We're super appreciative of the support we've already got and it has allowed us to revise our current Bill of Materials to future-proof this project, and to help kickstart our next projects! SLO Propulsion Technologies is an organization committed to educating students about small-scale propulsion systems through rapid iterability, hands-on education, and a strong simulation of industry. By focusing on smaller-scale test articles, we can rapidly develop complex and interesting technologies in a short amount of time.

Our MK1 Demonstrator represents our minimum viable product. Right now, we are trying to keep the design simple—our current concept utilizes an argon-pressurized fuel feed system and gaseous oxygen to power an engine in the 30lbf range. We’ve already worked closely with engineers from SpaceX, Relativity, Stratolaunch, and others to synthesize this design. Our goal: to develop and test this system within 1 year of forming the team.

Currently, we are fundraising to support material costs to develop Cal Poly's first, club-developed, liquid rocket engine. The funds obtained through this program will be used to purchase a whole host of design-critical parts, from metal stock for our test stand to sensors such as pressure transducers.

Through donating, you will help enable the next generation of Aerospace Engineers to learn in a hands-on environment. Already, this club has landed its members at internships throughout the Aerospace industry such as SpaceX, Stoke, Millennium, and others.
