The SLO Water Polo Club's high school age team is going to Italy in the summer of 2024! Our goal is to grow as water polo players, bond as teammates and friends, and create athletics memories to last a lifetime.

We’ll be training daily in coastal Italian facilities including scrimmaging local Italian teams. Water polo is a much more well-known and practiced sport in Italy and Europe in general, and we look forward to being immersed in that kind of sport culture for the sport we love.

In addition to training and scrimmaging, we get to:

-Stay in a small Italian coastal community called Camogli, near Genoa

-Experience a few day trips to exciting locations (Santa Margherita, Portofino, Florence, Cinque Terre, San Fruottoso)

-Explore the immediate surroundings of Camogli including swimming in the sea, exploring caves, cliff diving, and kayaking

-Spend lots of time together as a team and friends

We are incredibly excited for what is looking like a trip to remember. The total cost of the training camp package is just over $2000, and flights are $1300. While this trip is absolutely a privilege that we’re grateful for, the cost is a lot for athletes and families to shoulder.

We’d love for you to consider supporting our high school team by contributing financially towards our trip. Your contributions will help create deep, lifelong memories and cherished experiences for our team. You’ll help girls experience a different culture, environment, and new perspectives on a sport they love. You’ll also be strengthening our team as we prepare for our fall season.
