There are things in this life that are unexpected and out of our control. But I truly believe that God has a plan. I am coming to you guys with a deeply saddened heart. My sweet friend Jo-Ann Slier ( my second mom who helped raise me) was diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastoma. She was able to have 95% of the tumor removed in a 6 hour surgery.
It breaks my heart to say this.. but there is no cure. We are grateful that there are medications that will add more time to this life. So that her family and friends can make the most special memories with her. It is not easy to process this and it is just as hard to ask for your help. I have seen God provide in many ways on this journey and I know he will do it again.
I come to you to ask for whatever God is calling you to do.. prayers, positive thoughts, meals for the family, anything you can donate. With Jo being out of work and her husband working part time in order to care for her, there are basic necessities they cannot afford.
They sadly already had to sell their car. Their monthly mortgage is more than they can afford on one income. These are incredibly tough times and we know things will never be the same, but we are determined to enjoy the time we have with her.
Even if you cannot donate, I ask that you share this so we can have an army to support the Slier family. It means so much that you’re even taking the time to read this. We thank you and we love you.
