Help Eamon Luge in Lake Placid!

Hi! My name is Eamon Delaney. I am 12 years old and I live in Schenectady, NY. I was recently named to the USA Luge Junior Development Team, also known as “Junior D.”
My goal is to continue training with USA Luge for as long as I can.
How in the world did I get into luge? In June 2017, my parents signed me up to participate in a USA Luge Slider Search at Central Park. At the time I didn't know what the Slider Search was, or that it could get me into an Olympic sport... I just thought it was fun!
Over 800 kids across the United States participated in the Slider Search and I was lucky to be selected to attend a screening camp in Lake Placid. A few weeks after camp I was invited to a second screening camp! Finally, I received the awesome news that I was asked to join the developmental team in Lake Placid for 2018-2019! Only thirty-six kids nationwide were asked to be a part of this team, and I am one of them!
I am grateful for any donation you can give to help me reach my goal.

Please help support Eamon as he trains and competes this season at the Olympic Training Center and luge track in Lake Placid, NY.
Costs at this level will be around $5,000 per season which includes coaching, food/lodging, transportation, equipment, tutoring, dues and race entry fees. Neither the United States Luge Association nor the United States Olympic Committee provide direct financial support for development team athletes, so all athletes are self-funded. Any unused funds will be used for future seasons or donated to USA Luge to support the organization and other athletes.
Eamon will train at the Lake Placid track for six weeks this winter, beginning in early November and ending in mid-March. During the season, he will compete in the Empire State Winter Games and possibly the 2019 Norton Youth National Championships in Utah.
