Hello, my name is Shannon, and I started Sleepy’s Dream 6 years ago. Time and time again, I have had to dip into my own bank account to cover vet cost for this rescue. Just recently (20 days ago), I applied a $3,000 cash bonus I received at work to the Sleepy’s Dream vet account. This is on top of volunteering well over 40 hours a week for this rescue, driving my own vehicle, using my own gas, to and from home visits and meet and greets, on top of my 40 hour a week full time job. I CANNOT do this anymore. If I do not get the monetary help needed, I will have no choice but to stop rescuing all together. Last year alone we saved over 60 dogs. Just today we had two dogs brought into the vet. One totaling $846.92, and the other totaling $498.00. And guess what, these are just the beginning of these dogs charges! Our current bill is now $1,344.92. I am asking for your help in raising $5,000.00 for Sleepy’s Dream. I hope everyone understands that volunteering my own time is one thing, but financially this is just not fair to be coming out of my own pockets as well.
