Updates from Megan: As of 9/26/18, Kirk and Megan have made the big move back to the Twin Cities. Kirk is doing inpatient rehabilitation at Aurora on France. The facility is very nice and the staff have been very kind and accommodating. It took a few days to get everything arranged and set up, but we're starting to get into a new groove now.
His room is a little sparse, so it would be great to send some greeting cards his way.
THANK YOU so much for the contributions to the Sleep for Kirk fund. We are using those donations to pay for his private room at the hospital and also to pay for the private room at Aurora (insurance doesn't cover these).

Background:
In the middle of an amazing Labor Day weekend at the cabin with friends, Kirk suffered a serious jet ski accident on Sunday, September 2. He was evacuated off Lake Chetac on his boat, then had 2 ambulance rides. When he arrived at Rice Lake hospital a CT scan revealed a ruptured artery in his abdomen. Kirk was medflighted via helicopter to Mayo - Luther hospital in Eau Claire, and later transferred to Mayo in Rochester, and now at Rehab at Aurora in Edina.
