Hi, my name is Susan O'Connor, Liam's wife. I am starting this fundraiser for Liam to help with expenses due to his Stage IV oropharyngeal cancer diagnosis. As a disabled military Veteran, Liam knows how to handle adversity and is approaching the coming year of treatment and recovery with steadfast determination. However, due to the diagnosis and treatment, Liam will not be able to work his regular hours as Chief of Protection for the NM National Guard.  Despite this, he has been working from home during treatment.  I cannot imagine how difficult this is for him as he is experiencing intense pain from radiation burns to his throat and extreme fatigue from chemotherapy.  In addition, his claim for treatment has been denied by the Veterans Administration.  Liam, is asking for help in mitigating the financial burden of the medical costs not covered by his private insurance.
