Hi Friends! I have reached out in the past to collect funds for people in Ukraine. This time I am collecting money to help my childhood best friend, Yaroslava Abramovich (Slava), and her kids. We grew up as neighbors and besties in Kyiv.

Slava is now a single mom to 5 daughters and a 1-year old grandson. Since Russia launched the war on Ukraine 10 months ago, Slava and her kids have had to resettle twice to keep safe. They are currently in the suburbs of Kyiv where heat and electricity outages are a daily occurrence, sometimes lasting multiple days on end. The power outages impact their home life and make working nearly impossible. Since the war began Slava has been working as a freelance seamstress and when she can't plug her sewing machine in she cannot work. Raising $5,000 will help provide Slava and her kids with food, rent, and utilities to survive this brutal winter as well as emergency funds in case they need to flee to another location again.

Collected funds will be delivered through a bank transfer to Slava as soon as the goal is reached and the money becomes available.
