My mother, Vida Slater, has had a long struggle with major health issues including congestive heart failure and chronic lung defiency and sadly now she is paralyzed, in a wheelchair and has rapidly deteriorating alzheimer's disease, the most devastating disease of all.  She has now reached the stage where she cannot be properly cared for at home any longer  and needs to  be in a skilled nursing facility where she will receive the care that she needs.  She and my father both have many health issues and because of those medical problems and other unfortunate circumstances, their financial resources are very limited.  It is extremely painful to see them struggling and it is very imporant that my mother get into a facility as soon as possible to receive the care she deserves.  The problem is that she will not qualify for Medicaid for 6 1/2 months from now.  In the meantime, for those months, her expenses in  a nursing home will have to be paid in full by my parents, who do not have enough money to pay the total bill.  That bill is approx. $30, 000.  As a family, we can support half of this amount but we need help with the other half.  We desperately want to help our mother,  and father as well as this is a terrible emotional and physical strain on him, in this tragic circumstance they are in and we would greatly appreciate any and all donations from our friends and family.  Thank you in advance for your monetary support, prayers and good wishes!
