My father has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He has stage 4 kidney disease, a weak heart, diabetes and a mild stroke a few years back. Due to his medical conditions, doctors have ruled out surgery, chemotherapy or radiation as treatment. He has been referred to palliative care by his doctors, in other words, giving up hope on saving his life. He wasn't even given a chance at treatment. My father is not ready to give up yet and I will fight this battle with him.
A friend told me of an alternative treatment known as immunotherapy, where it's less invasive and the side effects are not as adverse as chemo or radiation, which his body will be able to tolerate. However, the downside to it is this treatment is very costly.
I therefore, plead you to contribute, in any small way, to raise the money needed to help him continue his life. He is unable to eat because of the tumor and has to be fed fluid through the nose. His body is deteriorating day by day, being consumed by this ugly disease. We hope to give him immunotherapy as soon as possible before it's too late.
