Skyler's fight against cancer

Donation protected
Skyler was diagnosed with Spindle Cell Sarcoma in November of 2020 after a tumor the size of a softball appeared on his back. This tumor started pressing against his lungs making it difficult to breath. Skyler will have a port placed in his body on December 9th so that he may begin Chemotherapy the following week.

Skyler is my brother -in-law. He and my baby sister, Tiffany, have been together for over 5 years. They have a six year old daughter together. They live in Sandusky, OH. They have very little family there to help during this difficult time.  Skyler's family is in Alabama while Tiffany's family is in Texas. With their families and major support systems being so far away, they need as much help as they can get.

Tiffany is the only one able to work at this time. But due to COVID, work has not been easy to find or keep. Even though the majority of Skyler's medical bills are covered through his insurance, that does not help them with rent, bills, groceries, toiletries, child care, ect.

Because of this disease, it is unknown if or when Skyler will be healthy enough to care and provide for his little family.  This type of cancer is VERY rare, making up only 2-5% of all cancer types. This is a type of bone and/or soft tissue cancer that is usually at a stage 5 if it's not found until after a tumor has grown. If the tumor and surrounding infected tissue is able to be removed, survival and cure chances are increased greatly. However, if the tumor is unable to be removed, this disease has roughly a 5 year life expectancy. Due to the placement and size of Skyler's tumor, doctors are not able to remove it at this time. They are hoping to shrink it with Chemotherapy in order to remove it.  But it's not a guarantee.

With the stress of this life changing diagnosis and of raising a family, they need help!! We know everyone has their own problems and their own stress to deal with, but we are asking for everyone to please find it your heart to help them. Skler is only 27 years old. He's still got so much to do in this life. He is so scared that he will not win this fight and will not see his little girl grow up. But no matter how scared he is, he is ready to fight this with everything he's got.

So please, help him as much as you can during this time of need. Also, if you're unable to donate, we understand and just ask that you please share this as much as possible.
