Skyla's Hospitalization: Help Us Welcome Sam

Hello, my name is Dominick, and I’m reaching out during a critical time for my family. I am setting up this GoFundMe page for my partner, Skyla, who is pregnant with our child, Sam. Recently, complications have arisen, and she must remain in the hospital until the baby is born. We urgently need support to help cover medical expenses and bill related costs. Our nicu is full here so we may need to travel to another hospital out of town. Skyla has a history of severe pre eclampsia and delivered our oldest at 26 weeks.

Skyla has a heart-shaped uterus, which puts her at high risk during pregnancies. In her previous pregnancy, she faced severe complications that made every day a battle, constantly fearing for both her life and the life of her child. It was a traumatic experience that has left lasting emotional scars.

As we anticipated the arrival of baby Sam, we initially felt optimistic, but soon complications began to surface. Witnessing the fear and anxiety in Skyla’s eyes as she relives the trauma of her past is heartbreaking.

Now, she must remain hospitalized until Sam arrives, requiring constant monitoring to ensure their health and safety. We are grateful for the medical care she is receiving, but the financial burden is overwhelming.

We are hoping to raise $1000+ to help our family during this challenging time. The funds will cover essential expenses such as rent, utilities, food, and the needs of our toddler, alongside any necessary care for Skyla and unforeseen hospital bills.
