2 Fighters, 1 Family

2 Fighters 1 Family is the current situation for The D’Autorio family. As many of you know, Lou and Skylas middle daughter Trinity has been battling pediatric cancer for almost four years. What you may not know is that Mama Skyla has a recent major health diagnosis of her own.

For those of you unaware, Skyla has had a battery of tests done due to a suspicious MRI of her brain in February. The result is that Skyla has a rare, aggressive infection with no known cure or treatment. This infection is one of the only kinds of infections that can penetrate the spinal and brain barriers. If it does so it is fatal. The white matter disease on Skyla’s MRI, paired with this infection being "activated" is the most concerning things to both their family, as well as their team of doctors.

The tests keep coming, for Skyla and her daughter Trinity: a fighter of neuroblastoma for years that causes them to travel both in and out of state for her treatment. With the family now having 2 Fighters in the house, and all of the medical bills that comes along with that things financially are tight. Skyla has had to resign from her job, keep things on track with Trinitys treatment, all while facing more uncertainty than anyone should have to endure.

The purpose of this fundraising effort is to support the medical journey of Skyla and Trinity, travel expenses, food, gas, and whatever else may arise. Skyla & Lou are an incredible team that have overcome incredible trials, but everyone needs help sometimes. This is a heart felt request to our community to shower their family with love and a sense of peace about whatever may come. Thank you.
