Skylar’s Heart & Healing

3 years ago the world was blessed with Skylar Avery Smith. She had a rough beginning to life , as soon after she was born she had heart surgery due to a congenital heart defect. She was resilient, recovered and has lived a beautiful healthy life to date, with an understanding that she would eventually need additional surgeries. A few months ago during a scheduled visit to ensure all is well , they discovered the Atrial Septal defect did not repair on its own. Today, October 16th 2018, Skylar is undergoing a lengthy open heart surgery to fix the ASD and to hopefully reroute the pulmonary veins in her heart which will prevent the need for an additional surgery in the future. To know the Smith family, is to love them. They are the most selfless, caring and loving family that would do anything for their friends/family. Now is our time to surround them in prayer and support. These surgeries are costly, and although they would never ask for any help we'd like to ensure they won't need to spend one single day stressing about how to cover the expenses we know and those that are unknown.
