The All-American Miss Pageant is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for top finishers in the state pageant. The pageant’s foundational principles are positive self-image and natural beauty within. Girls gain poise, self-confidence, and valuable communication skills. The pageant also opens doors of opportunity that are not available anywhere else.
Seventeen-year-old Skylar is a resident of Wayne, Nebraska. She has been her class’s president, and will be her class’s vice president next year. She has been a WEB leader (Where Everybody Belongs), a two-year Kiwanis scholar, and recipient of the U.S. Presidential Award for Educational Excellence. She is an accomplished swimmer, and has also participated in track. Skylar qualified for the national pageant by winning Academic Achievement and Top Model, and by receiving 1st Runner-up in Most Promising Model and Casual Wear Model at the state level. She also earned 3rd Runner-up in Runway Model and Photogenic at the state level.
WHEN AND WHERE:
The national pageant is held in Anaheim, California during Thanksgiving week of 2017.
Skylar is fundraising to make it possible to get to California where she will wear the banner representing Wayne, NE in the national pageant. Any national titles earned will put Skylar, and Wayne, NE, on the national stage for the next year. Donations go toward travel and luggage fees, lodging, and pageant costs. Her goal is $8,000.
