Skylar Owens Medical Assistance
Many and most of you know Skylar. If you haven't met him, you're missing out on an unforgettable young man. He has worked with SEI for several years, starting as a teenager as summer intern-help, and continuing into a fast paced career within the company. He was recently awarded our Night-shift Roaming Supervisor position due to his excellent work ethic.
Recently Skylar had a seizure, resulting in many tests and scans to find the root cause at Ruby Memorial. Two masses were found on his brain. He underwent surgery to attempt and remove the masses on 8/13/21. Removal was only partially successful. These masses were sent for biopsy. On 8/24/21 Skylar was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer at the young age of 22.
This is heavy and heartfelt news for everyone that surrounds him from his family, friends, and coworkers. We at SEI are setting up this fund to help assist with the accumulating medical bills. If you are able to donate, any and all amounts help and are appreciated by him, his loved ones, and all of us at SEI.
