Skylar, fuckin Skylar. I know curse words are probably a little unorthodox for this but so was Skylar. A person full of life who never came up short in giving to others. Someone who made friends with her demons just so she could laugh through life. Nothing about Skylar was quiet, she was outspoken and fearless. She turned ‘No’ into ‘Watch Me’ and didn’t find it necessary to explain herself. The practical living example of never a dull moment. Driven, in spite of the roadblocks, selfless natured and unapologetic in her pursuit of happiness. The world had been cruel to her but she never was cruel in return. Pain didn’t harden her heart, it opened it to give. They say you can learn a lot from someone on how they treat their animals, Skylar was an angel to her babies and she gave them everything she had. Skylar knew that showing up took precedence even if it wasn’t perfect. She reminded her family of what forgiveness and strength mean. It takes courage to be kind after so many battles. Parents shouldn’t bury their children, siblings shouldn’t be left wondering, friends shouldn’t be left empty, but at the very least Skylar should be mourned. If you can donate anything at all the family will greatly appreciate it. No human deserves an untimely and unfathomable end like she faced, help us extend the grace she so deserved and lay her to rest properly.
