Hi everyone. I’m asking again for funds to help treat our beautiful rescue girl, Skye. She has been sick for the last 8 weeks. We’ve been to our local veterinary hospital on and off, and although they are wonderful and have tried, we still have no answers. I’m seeking the help of a specialist who can hopefully properly diagnose Skye as my gut is telling me this is more than just a food allergy. Something is not right with her. Every other day she is vomiting with blood in her stool, lethargic, won’t eat or even take her medicine and then the next day she appears fine. It’s gotten to the point where we really can’t leave her unattended as there’s no telling when she’ll be sick. We’ve tried probiotics, changing her food, giving her boiled chicken and rice, pumpkin purée, anti-diarrhea medicine, antibiotics- you name it. The vet has done multiple tests only for them all to come back fine. We need to get her a proper diagnosis with the hopes of being able to treat/prevent whatever it is she is suffering from. Our family is hopeful that we can achieve this. Skye has had a rough life thus far and deserves to live a healthy, happy life with us feeling her best. I’ve started the fundraiser for $5,000. I realize that’s a lot of money but we’ve spent over $3,000 at our local vet in the last two months and I can only imagine seeking the help of a specialist will be more costly. Any and all funds will be used for her treatment, diagnosis and recovery. My family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love you’ve shown Skye. We know how much you all care for her and I’m praying we get the answers we are looking for.
