I'm doing a charity skydive!
Yup, it's mad challenge time again but, I'll be honest this one's kept me going over the last few months!
Going through treatment for triple negative breast cancer has sucked, and the last few months have been fairly tough, but making sure I'm strong enough for my skydive on 23rd September has been a positive target to focus on.
Of course, I have an absolute phobia of falling and hate edges, so much so that I can't stand on a chair to change a light bulb and will even double check myself stepping off a kerb.
I walk down the middle of bridges, just in case I get blown off, won't climb a ladder and will have a meltdown if anyone goes near any kind of ledge.
Even with all that, I still decided to abseil off the Forth Rail Bridge in 2017, but hated every minute of it and I swore blind I'd never do anything like that again.
So this year, I'm doing a skydive instead!
I mean, I've gone through breast surgery, chemotherapy, god knows how many blood tests, 28 self administered painful injections, pneumonia, radiotherapy and a broken collar bone so, after all that, jumping out of an airplane at 10,000 feet should be a doddle... right?
There's no point in doing a skydive unless it's for charity, so I'm raising funds for Outfit Moray. I'm so proud of the work we do and I want to make sure we can continue changing lives of young people in Moray by delivering our outdoor learning and adventure activities.
Thank you ❤️
