Hello Everyone!

William here, directing student at Stockholm Film School where we are currently in pre-production on our third semester exam project. My classmate (Andrei, cinematographer) and I have chosen to make a short-film style music video for the title track of Swedish music group Dreaming of Space's new album: SKYDDSRUM. And we need your help!

CONCEPT

The song is a heartfelt ode to a past love one, contemplating the future they were never able to share at several points in the narrator's life.

In the same vain, our story shows a “what if” relationship: A lonely, widowed father, chasing through his apartment, the ghost of his long-lost flame and the mother of his child. It is an emotionally cathartic story about reconciling with loss, mainly told through visual metaphors. Stylistically, we are both heavily inspired by the psychological films of Andrei Tarkovsky and Alejandro Iñárittu.

WHERE THE FUND'S WILL GO

It is a 2-day, indoor shoot, with two minor extra days happening before production starts to get some shots we are able to get without a big crew before-hand. The crew will be other students from our class and the actors will not recieve fee's as this is a school produced project.

Here is a breakdown of the costs we will incur, from most important/mandatory costs, to special equipment.

1. Location Spending: 4,000-7,000sek

2. Food/Snacks for crew & cast: 1,000sek

3. Transport costs (gas for the equipment van will depend on location): 500sek

4. Wireless Monitor (Sändarsystem Teradek Bolt 1000 XT 2xRX): 2,400sek (2 day rental)

5. Wide-angle Lens (Cooke Panchro Classic FF 18mm T2.2 CF0.3m ø125): 2,800sek (2 day rental)

6. Aputure Accent B7c 8 x Light Kit: 1600sek (2 day rental)

If we then have funds remaing it wil all go to extra set-design elements. Of course we are fully prepared to make this project without all the equipment we desire, but any help will go a long way to just get us the production basics and make this project as good as it can be!!
