Sky's Defense

Dear Friends and Family, 

Our beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend, Sky Gornik, is facing the greatest challenge of his life. While there is no doubt that Sky has made mistakes and must face consequences, it is also true that Sky is a victim of our country’s failed and disastrous war on drugs.

Those of us who know and love Sky know a young man with a good heart, keen intelligence, warm kindness, a strong work ethic and immense creativity and drive. We believe in Sky’s potential to better his own life and would like him to have the opportunity to regain his health and freedom so that he can bring his many gifts to others in the world in a positive way.

Regardless of Sky’s offenses, he deserves the best defense he can get within a system where all the resources and rules stack the odds against him. We want to help give Sky a fair chance at justice, and that can only happen with support from friends and family. We appreciate anything you can do to support our efforts to help Sky.
